There is good news from German manufacturers of photovoltaic components, machines and plants. Not only were there were promising developments in turnover and orders in the financial year 2014, but the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) has also forecasted that sales will grow by a good 8% this year in its spring business climate survey. In addition to investments in retrofitted and upgraded existing production lines, the photovoltaics industry is once again planning larger investments. Market leaders from the Far East still represent the main purchasers of innovative production solutions and cutting-edge technology.
In light of its increasingly competitive edge, however, photovoltaics is also taking hold in other regions. In large enough markets, investments are also made in local production, with countries like India, Brazil and nations from the Arabian Peninsula and the Maghreb playing a leading role. The USA is also experiencing dynamic development. New photovoltaic factories are also being constructed here due to reindustrialization and high solar electricity demands. With its international exhibitions and conferences, Intersolar is the number one platform for presenting cutting-edge, German photovoltaics technology to a global audience.
Intersolar Europe: Marketplace, platform and catalyst for the photovoltaics industry
As the ideal platform for the latest industry developments, Intersolar Europe reaches an international audience. The accompanying program and the Intersolar Europe Conference provide visitors and attendees with a perfect opportunity to discuss trends and prospects. Intersolar Europe’s forums, workshops, and accompanying and networking events underpin the exhibition as the world’s leading information and strategy platform for international growth markets. Photovoltaics suppliers are making the most of this opportunity and are set to present state-of-the-art technology and current market trends in hall A2.
Workshops: Market and technology + long-term stability of photovoltaic modules
As a conceptual and expert supporter of Intersolar Europe, VDMA Photovoltaic Equipment is organizing two workshops on market and technological trends in photovoltaics production in close cooperation with partner association SEMI and Intersolar. The Technology and Market Perspectives for PV Equipment Manufacturers workshop focuses on the topics of competitiveness, market developments, technological trends and prospects for PV suppliers. In addition to first-class speakers, industry leaders will also answer the most urgent questions facing the industry in a panel discussion. Another workshop sheds light on the long-term stability of PV modules and the associated technical challenges, with the aim of identifying specific research and development needs in this context. Both workshops take place in hall B1, room B13 at Messe München on June 11, 2015.
