CT Offshore has been awarded a contract for the cable installation and burial of 97 inter-array cables at DONG Energy’s Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farm. Cable installation is scheduled to start in 2015.
CT Offshore’s chairman of the board and A2SEA CEO Jens Frederik Hansen said: “In the current market, this is an important contract for CT Offshore. While new and larger cable laying vessels are being deployed on the offshore renewable scene, we still believe that a decisive factor to accomplish successfully is the years of experience and extensive knowledge that the team at CT Offshore can offer within installation and burial of inter-array cables.”
Gode Wind Offshore Wind Farm 1 and 2 is located in the German North Sea and is developed by DONG Energy.
CT Offshore is a subsea cabling installer, which was founded in 2003 as a privately-owned company offering consultancy services to the offshore wind farm installation industry. The company has considerable expertise in offshore power cable installations, and has developed rapidly over the years and transformed itself from a minor consultancy into a highly rated installation company, with A2SEA as a majority shareholder.
