As of today, M+W Group has a new address in Stuttgart. More than 100 years after the company was founded in Stuttgart Weilimdorf, its approximately 350 Stuttgart employees are moving from Lotterbergstraße to Löwentorbogen in the Pragsattel area.
M+W has leased office space there and altered it to meet its needs. “With our new office at the Löwentorbogen, M+W has a new base for its global corporate management and the Stuttgart employees of M+W Central Europe GmbH that meets our needs for connected working and modern office standards,” explained M+W CEO, Wolfgang Büchele.
In terms of layout and equipment, the new office is geared toward the principle of “new work”, and focuses on teamwork, transparency, and communication. Employees were able to put forward their own ideas and proposals right from the project planning stage with a view to creating an attractive working environment with open-plan offices. Their input covered topics like the color scheme, the installation of ergonomic office furniture or the design of areas for working, discussions, and creativity. “M+W’s employees deserve to have a workplace that motivates them and to be involved in its design,” said Wolfgang Büchele as he described the goals the company had set out to achieve. The building offers an area of 5,200 m2 spread over six floors.
Given its location, the new head office of the M+W Group in Stuttgart is also well served by public transit. To make it easier for employees to switch from cars to the local public transit system, the company has extended its commuting ticket compensation scheme. In this way, it is helping to protect the environment and to improve traffic congestion.
However, not all of the M+W Group employees based in Stuttgart are relocating to the Löwentorbogen site. Around 200 employees of the subsidiary M+W Products will stay in Weilimdorf until the company has completed a new production site in Renningen.
